Director's Message
Dear Patriot Families,
As we settle into the rhythm of a new school year, I’m thrilled to reflect on the incredible start we’ve had. With nearly 800 students filling our beautiful new building, we have already learned and achieved so much together.
Our celebrations of learning are well underway, and it’s been inspiring to see our students engage with their studies. We’ve also kick-started our volleyball season with a bang—congratulations to our girls’ team for winning their first scrimmage!
In the classroom, our academic journey has taken off with great enthusiasm. Our students are diving deep into their Core Knowledge curriculum. First graders are exploring the skeletal system, second graders are delighting in tall tales and fairy tales, and fifth graders are crafting personal narratives. In our upper grades, students are studying the rich and dynamic Baroque period in music, while our seventh graders are beginning their work on The Tempest, delving into character development and Shakespeare’s classic themes.
In art class, students are creatively exploring the contrast between organic and geometric shapes, a study that aligns beautifully with The Tempest through their depictions of waves, clouds, and ships.
As we move into September, I am excited to see what this month holds for our students, staff, and families. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to making this school year a success.

Staff and Student Highlights
This month, we’re thrilled to highlight two special milestones in our school community. First, congratulations to our beloved principal, Stacy Reel, who welcomed a beautiful new baby boy, Hayden Reel, into the world! We’re so excited for this joyful addition to her family.
On the student front, we want to celebrate the Lady Patriots Volleyball team for kicking off the season with an impressive win against Spartanburg Christian Academy. They have shown exceptional dedication to the sport, embodying the spirit of hard work and perseverance. We're proud to have them as part of our school!

Upcoming Events
We’re excited to announce our second annual Patriots Day on September 11th! This special event will celebrate our hometown heroes and provide our students with an opportunity to learn more about how the fire department, National Guard, EMS, and the sheriff’s office work together to keep us safe. This event is exclusive to students, and we look forward to honoring these community heroes and sharing pictures with you as we finish this celebration!
Core Virtues Highlights
This month's core virtues are respect, which means treating others with high regard; responsibility, which involves doing your part for the groups that make us whole; and friendship. We’ll be focusing on this value throughout the month in various activities and lessons, helping our students build strong character and integrity.
First of Year Celebrations
The first month of school has been an exciting and successful start to the year! We've celebrated many learning milestones as students dive into their new subjects with enthusiasm. It's been a month full of achievements, setting a positive tone for the rest of the year!
Community Corner
A big thank you to our partners at Chick-fil-A and to all the families who participated in our recent spirit night! The funds raised will directly support our athletic programs and contribute to the overall success of our school. Your support makes a significant difference, and we’re grateful for our wonderful community.
